Across the Waves – poinsettia tag
Hello everyone – with Christmas not far off how about a beautiful Across the Waves – poinsettia tag.

Many of us make cards for Christmas but it is also fun to make homemade tags for your gifts. They may be easier for you as the size is small so you don’t have as much space to decorate.
Today’s Project
To start I needed a shape so I checked my stash and the postage dies were perfect for a small gift. I cut the background from a dark red and added a layer of distressed vanilla. The dies were great to add a postage edge and the layer has some stitching. They make a perfect combination.
To decorate the tag the Christmas Blooms dies has 2 sizes of poinsettias. I cut them out of a deep red. Some green holly leaves were added and the center was finished with some gold metallic paper. The dies have deep etching which gives lots of interest to the images. Some gold ribbon was sandwiched between the red and vanilla layer so you can tie it on your gift. Add a sentiment and your tag is complete!
