Across the Waves – Garden Wreath dies idea
Hello everyone – it’s all about dots and stripes this month so I designed the Across the Waves – Garden Wreath dies idea using dots.
With all the gorgeous pattern paper we can choose from it is easy to overlook the simple ones. Dots and stripes are perfect for creating a clean and simple card.
This month Vicky and I will be playing with dots and/or stripes. I can’t wait too see what she comes up with for our first card. You can find her project here.
Today’s Project
I started with the red polka dot pattern paper and chose my colors for the flowers from that. To make the colors pop I used black for some layers. Love those little flowers so will be using them some more.
Wanted a simple sentiment so found one in one of my stamp sets that was perfect. Did have to take one of the flowers off and readjust it so need to remember to so the sentiment before stick the flowers down.

I have used dots quite a bit for blog posts. Here is a fun idea based on a cute picture. This card uses a polka dot piece of pattern paper for a simple idea.
About the card
white – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ -card base
3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
scrap for punching
black – 4″ x 5 1/4″
scrap for punching
red – 2 1/2″ x 5 1/8″
scrap for die cutting – 2 shades
pink – scrap for die cutting – 2 shades
yellow – scrap for die cutting
green – scrap for die cutting
