Hello everyone – look at how pattern paper was used to make today’s Across the Waves – paper pattern leaves card.

Vicky and I have chosen to share projects created using pattern paper with you this month. To see what she has to share with you today, check out her project here.

When I looked at the Rustic Autumn pattern paper I wondered what it would look like to use some of the paper to die cut leaves. I chose 4 different patterns and used my dies to create some fall leaves.

Today’s Project

I chose 2 different leaves and the acorns from the Autumn Leaves dies to use for the card. I cut them out of the pattern paper that had Fall colors. For some of the dies I strategically placed them to take advantage of the pattern on the paper. Check out the leaves and acorns on this card.

To give the card more interest, I used a crosshatch embossing folder for the cardstock panel. The sentiment was stamped and layered onto the orange cardstock that was the background layer. To finish off the card, some gold gems were sprinkled on.
