Across the Waves – watercolor pencils background idea

Hello everyone – I decided to try something different with my colored pencils and used them to make this Across the Waves – watercolor pencils background idea.
This month I am playing with watercolor pencils/colored pencils and sharing ideas with you. Here is my idea for this week.
Today’s Project
I like finding ways to use my supplies that are little different than what you would normally use them for. I decide to try an idea and see how it would turn out. I used my watercolor pencils to make the background on this card. You will have to let me know what you think.

The sentiment was on a cut-apart sheet in the paper collection. I decided to use it. The whole card started with the pattern paper scrap with the butterfly on it as I wanted to use it. After that I checked my scraps to see what else I could use.

To see how to make the background, here is the video for the Across the Waves – watercolor pencils background idea card

I used the watercolor pencils to color the flower on this card. It was blended using a blender pen. You can also use watercolor pencils to blend your colors together like on this card.
