Good Morning Everyone ~ Most of the cards I make are All Occasion cards, how about you?
Well we had some bad storms here last night and it knocked out our electricity. When it came back on we did not have internet. I decided to write my post in Word in hopes that before I went to bed it would be back on. Since I am headed out early for a Crop I’m not sure I will have time to do it tomorrow before I leave. I did however have a very productive day yesterday. I had a workshop, made 5 cards for my blog, and edited my video and upload it for tomorrow. Now all I have to do is write the post and add the link.
Jess and I are taking the girls to our Fireman’s Carnival tonight. She did not tell them so it will be a surprise. Zoie had a great time last year. This year we will see how Remi does. Speaking of Zoie she lost her first tooth yesterday. She was at camp and it came out. I so wanted to make her a special Tooth Fairy box but did not have time. Maybe I will work on it so we have it for the next tooth. Need to check out Pinteret to see if they have any great ideas!
My card today began with the sketch challenge at Match the Sketch
I decided to use some of the Color Theory suite. I started with the patterned paper that I added to the lower part of my card layer. To soften the edge of the paper on the card stock I used a strip of the Old Olive Mini Chevron ribbon. This card layer was attached to a Early Espresso card base. Next I cut some Early Espresso in a rectangle shape that would fit at an angle on my card base. I then cut a white piece that was a little shorter to give the look of the Polaroid element in the sketch. The sentiment was stamped with Old Olive. It was mounted onto the Early Espresso piece and then dimensionals were used to attach it to the card base. 2 of the leaves were stamped with Old Olive and the framelits were used to cut them out. They were add with a glue dot for the bottom one and a dimensional for the top one. To finish off my card I added some of the glitter dots that are a part of the suite. Here is my finished creation.
