Anything Goes Saturday - embossing with a hot foil plate

Hello everyone – I have a fun way for you to use those plates you have with today’s Anything Goes Saturday – embossing with a hot foil plate card.

In Jennifer McGuire’s Black Friday video she showed this technique and I had to give it a try.

Today’s Project

I love hot foil plates for the variety they have. I do not have a foiling machine so when I saw this idea I had to give it a try. You use your plate to emboss your cardstock. I gave it a try for today’s card and I love this idea. It extends the use of your dies as well as opens up lots of options for embossing backgrounds. Here is the first idea I made with this technique.

Using the plate for embossing gives you a debossed background. Add a cluster and you have a great card.
