Hello Everyone ~ I sure how we get some April Showers as we need the rain!
Well I did not get to work on my taxes yesterday so I will be working on them today. I also need to make a card for later this week. It should be a low key day as the taxes are just a matter of entering the numbers. I am hoping to get it finished today so I can set up an appointment to get them done.
Today at Make My Monday challenge blog our challenge is
create a project with items associated with
rain – color, umbrella, raindrops, etc.
I thought it would be fun to create some rain clouds along with some rain boots. I used the Sprinkles of Life. I stamped the clouds onto Smoky Slate using the same color ink. T he matching punch was used to punch them out. The little rain drops are from the same punch and I used Silver Glimmer paper. A piece of Soft Sky dsp was mounted onto a piece of Island Indigo card stock. Then the clouds were added to this layer using dimensionals. I added the raindrops with glue dots. A ruler was used along with a glitter pen to add lines from the clouds to the raindrops. The rain boots were stamped and colored with an Island Indigo and Soft Sky markers. I then cut them out and added them to the panel with dimensionals. Using a Whisper White card base and the retired clouds embossing folder I embossed the card base front. The image panel was also added with dimensionals. Here is my completed creation.
