Beautiful Friendship Hydrangea Thanks

Happy Monday Everyone ~ I used some Silver thread on my Beautiful Friendship Hydrangea Thanks card today.

Well I took some time yesterday after I got back home from delivering Zoie to her mom to relax.  After that I spent some time in my studio as I needed to finish my cards for the workshop tomorrow.  I wanted to get them done so I could go to be early and try and catch up on my sleep.  I have a lot to get done this week as next weekend I will have a full house with both my girls and their families here.  We will spend some time checking out the area since Michaela and Josh have not seen it.  I will see what else they want to do.  They may just want to hang out and relax.  I will take my cue from them.

I wanted to see if I could recreate the gorgeous purple and hot pink hydrangeas so I pulled out my Beautiful Friendship set and inked up the hydrangea with Highland Heather.  When you ink this up because it is a distinctive stamp set there are some flowers that are darker.  I took a paper towel and blotted the ink off the darker flowers.  Then using my sponge dauber and Melon Mambo I inked up the ones I just wiped off and stamped it onto a scrap of Whisper White.  I then used the Layering Ovals to cut out the image keeping it to the left hand side of the die.  The sentiment was stamped on the right hand side of the oval using Gorgeous Grape ink.  The next larger scallop oval was used with some Highland Heather card stock to cut out the shape.  The 2 shapes were layered.  To make the card base, I took a piece of 4″ x 5 1/4″ of Whisper White and  a piece of the retired Gingham Gala designer series paper in Highland Heather.  I cut the paper at an angle and attached it to the bottom of the Whisper White panel.  I took the Silver thread and wrapped it around the panel several times.  I secured it on the back with Tear & Tape.  The panel was then added to a Highland Heather card base.  Using the Silver thread I created a multi-loop bow and attached it on top of the thread wrapped around the panel with a glue dot.  To finish off the bow a Clear faceted gem was added in the middle of the bow.  The image layer was attached to the top of the card base using dimensionals.  Here is my completed Beautiful Friendship Hydrangea Thanks creation.

Isn't this a great card? I love playing with the hydrangea stamp and recreating some of the colors you would naturally find. Get the details of my Beautiful Friendship Hydrangea Thanks card by clicking the photo.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  We are starting another session of Water Aerobics today.  After that I will come home and spend some time in my studio working on cards for my blog.  If I work a little each day I will have posts through next week when the girls are here.  Have a Marvelous Monday and did you like the colors I used on my Beautiful Friendship Hydrangea Thanks creation?
