Good Morning Everyone ~ I know we all love the Fall leaves but to me Springtime also has some Beautiful Leaves!
I managed to get my swatch for my yarn project started and halfway finished yesterday. I may try and see if I can finish it up this weekend so I can wash it and block it and have it ready to take with me next Thursday. I am going to be knitting a Custom Fit Sweater. This is a sweater that begins with my measurements, and using those measurements and the gauge I get from knitting using the yarn for my sweater it creates a pattern that is designed for me. I am doing a light weight summer sweater that I can use from Spring through Fall. It will not be a quick knit so I don’t expect to get it completed before the Fall.
For my card today I wanted to play along with some of my challenge blogs. The first was a Color challenge at Color Throwdown
I paired it with a sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches
I opted to use the Woodgrain embossing folder which will be retiring in a week. To pull in the gray from the color challenge I used my Basic Gray ink pad and swiped it across the raised side of the folder. I then added my paper, close the folder, and ran it through my Big Shot. This embossed the paper and added ink so you can see the embossing. If you do this remember to wash your embossing folder right away as the ink can stain your folder. I attached the embossed panel to my Cucumber Crush card base. Then using the Seasonal Layers thinlits I cut out a bunch of the leaves. I added these across the bottom part of the card with glue dots to address the horizontal strip. For my sentiment I took one from the Eastern Beauty stamp set. These sentiments are curved but since they are photopolymer you can straighten them out long enough to stamp them and then they will go back to being curved. I punched it out with the Classic Label punch. I cut it down a little on the sides so that I could mount it onto another Classic Label punch in Cucumber Crush. The sentiment was added to the card with dimensionals. To finish off my card I added a leaf with a dimensional. Here is my completed creation. Has a masculine feel don’t you think?

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you. I have some more tasks on my to do list that I am hoping to get finished so I can cross them off. Wish me luck! Have a Fabulous Friday and do you agree with me that the Springtime has some Beautiful Leaves?
