Hello Everyone ~ Are you thinking this will be like Alfred Hitchcock’s movie the “Birds”?
I worked on a few cards and my scrapbook pages yesterday. I have cards for the next week and my scrapbook pages for my class are almost completed. I need to finish them today so I can post the announcement.
It is the challenge at Make My Monday. This time our challenge is
BIRDS
When I saw this challenge, I thought about the Sheltering Tree and the Tree Builder punch. With all the nice weather we have been having, I thought a Spring Tree with some Robin’s would be a good idea to try.
I stamped my tree using Soft Suede ink. The leaves were added with Pear Pizzazz. This panel was mounted onto a piece of Pear Pizzazz card stock. Taking a Whisper White card base, I embossed it using the Falling Petals embossing folder. The tree panel was then added to the card base using dimensionals. Now to make my birds.
I began by taking a piece of Chocolate Chip card stock and scribbling some white colored pencil on it. On top of the white I added some red colored pencil. I was hoping to get the red breast of the Robin. It was too red so I took an orange colored pencil and colored on top of that. That combination gave me the rusty color I could use for the breast. The Tree Builder Punch was used to punch out my birds by strategically placing the rust strip I had colored in the breast area of the punch. After the body was punched their wings were also punched. The Wings were added to the birds using a glue dot. The birds were added to the tree with a glue dot. My card was finished. Here is my Spring card with some Robins!

Thanks for visiting me today. Jess and I are going furniture shopping today. She wants to see if she can find a love seat for her room. Hopefully we can find something on sale that will fit her bill. Have a Marvelous President’s Day Monday and are your ready to see the Birds?
