Birthday Balloons

Hello Stampers!

Well I got my grasses cut down yesterday.  When I went outside to plug in my chain saw I heard a ticking coming from my heat pump.  I came inside and called my heating company and as luck would have it they had a technician who had just finished his work for the day and could come out.  He came out and checked it out as well as performed that maintenance that was due on it.  As it turns out there was a cycle that was stuck and when he reset it the ticking went away and the motherboard said everything was fine.  I was relieved as I did not want to have to replace the heat pump at this time.  He said things look good and it should be okay for a while.  I was glad and hope it will make it for several more years.

Today I am sharing a card I made using a sketch challenge in my Take Ten magazine.  I really like this magazine as it offers so much for the reader.  I have gotten other paper crafting magazines in the past but the problem was they seemed to be filled with advertisements.  This magazine is not like that.  It is jammed packed with examples that are created by fellow crafters.  It is an expensive magazine but to me it is well worth it.  Here is my version of the sketch.

I started with the Everyday Chic ds paper for the vertical strip.  I then pulled out my It’s My Party ds paper for the horizontal strip.  I then cut my tag and using the Sprinkles of Life set and the colors in the paper I stamped the card stock.  I then cut my black card stock and embossed my sentiment.  I used the Party Punch pack and white baker’s twine to make my balloons and attached them to my panel.  My card was complete.  Check out this adorable card!

Thanks for visiting me today.  I hope you enjoyed my card.  I really need to use this paper more as I love it.  Have a Great Day!
