Blooming Birthday

Hello Stampers!

I had several ladies here yesterday and they had a great time.  I have a few more coming today.  I love sharing and teaching new people how creative they can be!  After they left yesterday I went to town making some more birthday tags for the craft show.  I managed to make 5 more sets of 4.  I want to make 2 more sets of 4 and then I can make the box to put them in.

Last night I realized I needed to make my card for today.  I had not played with the Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild sketch challenge in quite some time.  I decided this would be the starting point for my card.

After I had my sketch I needed to choose my stamp set.  I wanted something I could use with a large image, a small image, and a sentiment.  I looked through my sets and decided Flower Patch would work.  Next I needed my colors.  That is when things went off track.

I originally chose to use Tangelo Twist.  When I stamped the flower with the color I hated it.  The color was drab and dull.  That sent me back to the drawing board.  I finally found a color combo that would work.  I then stamped all my images and put my layers together.  When I laid it on my card base, I felt it needed something.  I decided to emboss the card front.  When I added it the layer it still needed something.  A ribbon came to mind and then I knew it had to be a ribbon with some sparkle.  Here is what my final card looked like.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be working in my craft room again today after my workshop.  What will you be doing?  Have a Super Saturday!
