Botanical Hello

Good Morning Everyone!

Well the ceremony yesterday was impressive.  Chris made gunny and his dad was there to pin him.  He had some close friends come also so it was a nice ceremony.  He has done well in the Marines and is proud of his accomplishments.  It will be interesting to see what the next few years hold for him.

My card today was the result of playing with some of the new items in the Occasions Catalog as well as the Sale-abration catalog.    I started with a piece of the Botanical Gardens designer vellum stack.  I was thinking of coloring on the back side and tried it with a small piece.  I did not like the look so I just mounted it on a piece of Calypso Coral card stock.  When I set it on a card base, the base needed something.  I pulled out my Botanical Blooms bundle and stamped some leaves on the background and added some veins using the stamp int he set.  I then used the framelits to cut out a flower and 2 leaves.  I stamped veins on the leaves also.  I used the ink and a sponge dauber to ink up the inside piece of the flower I had cut out.  I then layered the 2 flowers and added a rhinestone in the center.  I attached my leaves to the back of the flower and attached the flower to the card base using dimensionals.  I then stamped my sentiment and punched it out with the Word Window punch.  I added it to my card using a dimensional.  Here is my creation.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I have workshops this afternoon and evening so not sure I will get into my craft room.  I hope to have a little bit of time to do at least some stamping.  Have a Terrific Tuesday!
