Brick Wall with Flowers

Good Morning Everyone ~ I love the look of a Brick Wall with Flowers. There is something so relaxing about it.

Wow was it cold yesterday. We even have some snow flurries. Did you have snow in your area? The weekend is supposed to be cold so a perfect time to be indoors and craft. I am sure you have some projects that need completing just as I do.

My card today was again inspired by one I saw on the internet. I often see cards that I like that are made using other companies supplies. I always think of what I have by Stampin’ Up I could use to get the same or similar look. The one I saw had blue and white embossed vellum flowers. It had a sentiment on the right hand side. The white card base was a very lightly embossed woodgrain.

So to make my card I pulled out my Sunshine Sayings stamp set and white embossed them on vellum. Embossing on vellum is tricky as you have to keep the heat tool moving so you don’t burn the vellum. Once I had my flowers embossed, I took a Marina Mist marker and colored on the back of a few of the flowers. Next the flowers had to be cut out. I took my white card base and used the Brick Wall embossing folder to emboss the front. The sentiment was cut out of Marina Mist card stock using the Hello You thinlits. Dots of Tombow were added to the back and the sentiment was set aside to dry. The flowers were added to the card base using glue dots. Then the sentiment was added. To finish off the card pearls were added to the center of the flowers and scattered on the card. Here is my finished creation.
