Hello Stampers!
Well yesterday was very stressful. They ended up doing the laser surgery on Remi. She has a tongue tie and a lip tie. They had to go in under her tongue and cut the center piece of flesh to release her tongue. Then they had to go in and cut the flap in the middle of her lip and gum as it was all the way down to her gums. I don’t think she was in pain but she did not like having anything in her mouth. When the doctor tried to give her tylenol she kept spitting it out. He held her nose so she would swallow it. Boy did she scream then. When it was all over, Jess took her and cuddled her. She calmed down but her mouth was still numb so she had a hard time nursing. She was so exhausted from the crying so she slept the 2 hours home. Now we may have to have Zoie done as that may be why she has a lisp. This is not the fun part of being a grandmother and them living with me!
So yesterday I shared this coloring panel as my coloring for the day of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.
When I did this coloring I knew what I was going to do with it. If you look at it carefully, you can kinda see a shape that you might know what I am going to do with it.
When I figured out what I wanted to do I knew I needed to choose some colors. I went looking at my challenge blogs and found a great color challenge at Fab Friday.
To make my card I cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer. I cut out my butterflies but kept the cut out. I took this layer and place it on the top of my card base. I used post-it notes to mark the sides so I did not apply color past the layer on the card base. I also used a pencil and lightly traced around the cut outs so I knew where I had to apply color. I then used sponge daubers to add my colors.
I then took my cut our layer and applied dimensionals making sure to apply them around the edge of the cut outs. I attached the layer to the card base. I then added dimensionals to my 2 cut out butterflies and placed them back on the layer into the cut out area. I added a sentiment and my card was done. Here is my completed creation.

Today is day 4 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.
For my coloring today I used and idea I saw Kristina Werner. When I saw the technique, I had to try it. Here is my take on her tutorial. What do you think of it?
Make sure you come back tomorrow to see how I use this panel.
Thanks for visiting me today. I am headed to the yarn store today to spend the day relaxing and knitting. I definitely need this! Have a Great Day!
Robbie
Robbie,
My oldest was tongue tied. Even though I told the nurse in the hospital, no one looked in her mouth until they needed to figure out why she wasn't gaining weight. Once her tongue was clipped, she was able to nurse properly and gained 8 ounces in 7 days.

Gorgeous cards, Robbie….. I felt very sad that I did not even mention the baby's possible surgery – and now that it is over, I am relieved for ALL of you and sad that Zoie may have similar surgery….older yes, but more aware of things. Sending love and hugs to all of you and hoping that the baby is doing better by now. They heal fast and hopefully she will have no lasting memories of the ordeal! Big hugs to the fabulous and loving Grandma!
Beautiful card and technique! So simple but wonderful results! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
What a gorgeous effect! Thanks for sharing your art. Thanks for playing along with this FabFriday color challenge.
