Card for Any Occasion
Hello Stampers – Are you always looking for a card for any occasion?
Today is the last day I have with Zoie. We are going to pick up the piece of pottery she painted and then going to get a watermelon for her to take home. We have watermelons from Bogue Sound an town along the coast that has fabulous watermelons. She has eaten almost a whole one herself while she was here. We will then end the day with a trip to the pool. I am going to miss having her here!
All occasion cards are my favorite cards to make. I love being able to make a blank card that I can personalize when I need a card. I think it gives me more freedom an allows me to have a card ready for any event. Today’s card was one of those.
I wanted to use some of the shimmer vellum and thought it would be a good embossed accent,
The Artistically Inks pattern paper has some of the same colors as the shimmer vellum so I opted to use it for my card. I was looking for an interesting background so I chose to use the Pale Papaya pattern.
The shimmer vellum I chose was the same color and to add more texture I embossed it. This was used for the background panel of the stamped image. A fun way with the ribbon was used and to finish off the card some adhesive backed sequins were scattered on the card front. Here is my idea for a card for any occasion.
The Expressions in Ink pattern paper is gorgeous paper to play with. I used a pink pattern for this card. The Paper Pumpkin from June inspired this idea.
