Card Sketch Idea

Card Sketch Idea

Hello Everyone – I totally forgot I had to make a card for our card sketch idea in the Facebook World Card Making Group. That meant you get an unplanned card today!

Love these bright colors with this flower. The card was based on a Card Sketch Idea and so fun to play with.

For the month of November our World Card Making Group has a sketch challenge. I had been working with the sunflowers making a treat for my workshop attendees this week so I decided to use it for my card.

I pulled out some 2021 – 2022 In Color pattern paper and some Brights pattern paper and paired them for the background. I mounted each on the coordinating card stock and then put the layer together following the sketch.

To make my sunflower, I stamped the flower with Daffodil Delight ink on Daffodil Delight card stock. It was cut out with the coordinating die. The edges were sponged using Calypso Coral and I also added some of the ink around the center of the flower.

The lacy overlay was cut out of Soft Suede card stock. Early Espresso was used to color the center of the overlay for some interest. The 2 pieces were then glued together and the flower was added to the card front using dimensionals.

To finish off the card some rhinestones were sprinkled on. Here are the measurements.
