Christmas Card Wreath DIY
Hello Everyone – this Christmas Card Wreath DIY card uses some dies you would not expect to use to create a wreath.
Are you surviving the heat? To take your mind off the heat, make some Christmas Cards! You can put on some Christmas music and even have some chocolate available and pull out your Christmas stamp sets and start to work on your stash of Christmas cards.
Our 2 week challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is a sketch this time.
Since I am focusing on Christmas in July this week, the circle image reminded me of a wreath. With that I decided to see what I have I could use to create a wreath. I knew I would need a punch or die that was curved. There is a perfect one in Forever Flourishing. I cut out several of them and then set about my designing.
The Beauty of the Earth pattern paper has a piece that has muted evergreen trees. I knew it would look great as the center of my wreath. Using the Circle dies I strategically cut out a circle that had several trees inside. To highlight the trees, I used the Wink of Stella and colored over the trees in the center of the circle. I used another pattern from the pack as my background.
To address the strips I used another die from the set and Gold metallic paper to cut out several. These were layered and placed on the card where the strips were. Adding a sentiment from Poinsettia Petals completed my card. Check out this wreath idea on my Christmas Card Wreath DIY.
This cute Christmas Card creates a scene which would be a great idea for a masculine card. In this video I went for a more elegant card by using some edge dies.
