Good Morning Stampers!
Today I am sharing my card for a swap group I am in. There are 6 of us in the group. We are to create cards that could be used for class so they have to have multiple layers and be “over the top”. Our theme this month was to use a Christmas set from the upcoming Holiday mini.
I had only ordered one set from the mini so that was the set I had to use. I had wanted to do the faux flannel technique for the stockings but I did not have a spray adhesive and I used Tombow glue which caused the ink to run. I also wanted to use the new letterpress plate in the mini, but I could not get the imprint to come out. It either tore up the paper or the imprint was not recognizable. Need to play with it some more.
That meant I had to revamp my idea. I pulled out the Northern Frost embossing folder and embossed a piece of vanilla. I then created a template and sprayed just the snowflakes with Champagne shimmer mist. After that I just added the other elements. Here is what my final card looked like.

As an update on the clean up from Irene, we still have 9,000 homes without electricity. Our coop has put together a slide show of some of the damage. I have included the link below. The pictures are unbelievable and really show how hard we were hit.

Tomorrow I will have a chance for a free pass to the next round of Stampin’ Fun & Friends so make sure you come back to leave me a comment. Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!
