Colorful Dragonflies

Hello Everyone ~ I played with some Colorful Dragonflies for today.

Well the rain held off and we had a great picnic.  We sat around and did a lot of talking and laughing.  It was good to get to know some new people.

Hand Stamped Sentiments has a sketch challenge today.

I began with a Very Vanilla card base.  I added a layer of Wood Textures dsp.  Using a piece of Color Theory dsp I added a Very Vanilla ribbon at the top.  This was attached to the card base.  Using a piece of Very Vanilla I cut a stitched oval from the card stock.  The Jar of Love leaves were stamped using Old Olive ink.  This was added to the card base using dimensionals.  I wanted some smaller dragonflies so I used the Detailed Dragonfly thinlit strip of dragonflies and cut out 2 of the dragonflies at the top.  The dragonflies had to be cut from the others they were joined to but it was easy to do.  Using Tombow Mulitpurpose glue I added these to a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and let them dry.  After the glue was dry I cut the dragonflies out so there was a layer of Very Vanilla underneath.  Using the markers I colored in the wings.  My dragonflies were added to my card using dimensionals.  To finish my card I added some of the new glitter dots.  Here is my completed creation.

Make sure you stop by the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog and see what the other ladies created using this sketch.  I am sure you will find some C.A.S.E. worthy creations.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I need to go to the Post Office today and then I will be working on quite a few projects I need to get completed.  Have a Terrific Tuesday and try your hand at some Colorful Dragonflies.
