Colorful Seasons Watercolor

Hello Everyone ~ I have another technique for you today with my Colorful Seasons Watercolor.

I spent some time working on my Creations of the Month class for this month yesterday.  I discovered that I did not have a video for one of the cards.  I must have deleted it by mistake so that meant I had to reshoot it.  Was not happy about that.  Since I had to set up for the reshoot I decided to work on the video for my Fast & Fabulous Friday also.  Got them both completed so today I will edit them and upload them.  I will also work on my class so I can get it posted.  Look for the announcement in a few days.  You don’t want to miss this one as it is perfect for anyone who has basic shape dies and looking for other ways to use them.  I also have to work on my newsletter which needs to go out on Saturday.  If you are not signed up for my newsletter, make sure you use the form on the right to get my newsletter.  You don’t want to miss it!

I saw a watercolor technique on the internet recently and wanted to see if I could do my version.  It is called Messy Watercoloring.  It is easier than you think.  I used the Colorful Seasons stamp set for my card.  I began by stamping the branch using Chocolate Chip ink onto watercolor paper.  Then using the aqua painter, very carefully add water around the branch being careful not to get too close to the branch.  Take the flower stamp and stamp it into the Elegant Eggplant ink.  Off stamp it onto scratch paper so you get lighter ink on the stamp.  Use the stamp to stamp onto the watercolor paper where you have applied the water.  Let this completely dry you can use your heat tool but I let mine dry naturally so that the ink did not bleed into the other images.  Now reink your stamp and spritz the stamp with water.  You will then add the stamp to the card quickly so the ink does not drip onto your paper.  Offset the stamps some so that you have a fuller branch.  Let this layer dry completely again.  Then ink your stamp up with the ink and offsetting the images again, stamp the image without any water.  Your stamping is done so you need to set it aside to dry.  Choose a sentiment and stamp it in the lower right hand corner using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I used one from Garden in Bloom.  Once the panel is dry add it to a piece of Very Vanilla card stock using Tear & Tape.  Add this panel to the card base.  Your card is now complete.  Here is my completed messy Colorful Seasons Watercolor creation.
