Coloring background paper for Stampin’ Up Bewitching Bundle

Hello Everyone – are you ready for the 12 Weeks of Halloween with the first idea – Coloring background paper for Stampin’ Up Bewitching Bundle?

I’ll be counting down to Halloween with a new Halloween project until October 26th. That will give you plenty of time to make those cute Halloween cards and treat holders. Today I am kicking off the event with a cute card.

What do you do when you don't have paper in the color you want? Grab your black & white, a blending brush, and your ink pad and add your own color. Get more info by clicking the photo and see how I created the Coloring background paper for Stampin' Up Bewitching Bundle card.

I just love the hats and the witch’s feet in this bundle. So many options!

I wanted to use purple and green for my hat and feet as they just remind me of a witch. I decided the Gingham Cottage paper had some great patterns but they were not in the colors I wanted to use. The blending brushes came to my rescue. I used a brush and the Orchid Oasis ink pad to add some ink to my piece of designer series paper.

I used a banner in Parakeet Party and embossed it with the Brick & Mortar embossing folder. This was the anchor for adding my hat and feet. The punch is great for the hat but the feet have to be fussy cut – not hard as it is a simple image. I tucked the feet up under the embossed banner as I thought it reminded me of the witch’s feet sticking out from under the house in the Wizard of Oz.

To give the hat some definition I took my Orchid Oasis marker and traced the outline. Then I used the blender pen to blur the line some. I colored the band on the hat using the Parakeet Party marker. The same images were used for the inside of the card and the envelope.

Who wouldn't want to get this card in the coordinating envelope. The images used on the card are perfect for decorating the Coloring background paper for Stampin' Up Bewitching Bundle card.

We had pattern paper a few years ago with a witch’s hat in it. I used that paper to create this card. How many of you remember the Wicked Cool stamp set from 2019? That stamp set had a witch’s hat and feet in it also. I made a home decor piece using it. Maybe I need to remake it with current product!

I hope my Coloring Background paper for Stampin’ Up Bewitching Bundle inspired you to try this technique. Thanks for visiting me today!

Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
