Coloring Down the Lines – Basic Black

Hello Ladies!

Well yesterday was gorgeous!  I spent the afternoon outside.  I bought a small chain saw to use to cut down my grasses.  I only have about 10 but some of them are huge and it would take me forever to cut them down with my loppers.  I cut down all of them in about an hour.  I then moved on to another flower bed.  I got the lariope, cone flowers, and hibiscus cut back.  It looks so nice.  Now I can see my crocus and I also have some hyacinth coming up.  I also noticed my daffodils have buds on them.  I sprinkled some red pepper around them to keep the deer of of them.  I need to remember I have a spray I can use also.

Ok enough of my rambling about my afternoon and off to my card.  My card today is for the Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  This week our challenge was

Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Bermuda Bay

                              OR
Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive
This week our added piece was to add metallic.  It could be glimmer paper, foil sheets or sequin trim.

I decided to check out a new challenge blog.  I went over to Can You Case It? and saw the challenge was to use dots.  I also saw an idea on Pinterest where they made an anemone using a shape that looked like our Modern Label punch.  I decided to see if I could use our punch to create the flower.

I also decided to combine it with my Clean and Simple class.  We had to create a card using Asymmetrical placement.   Here is what I created.

I like how this card turned out.  I also noticed that I totally missed the metallic piece.  Well it would be easy to add the sequin trim across the top underneath the sentiment.
Well are you ready to see what the other ladies created?  Hop on over to Amanda’s blog – Our Crafty Playdate.  I am sure she did not forget the metallic piece!

Thanks for visiting me today.  I hope the weather is warming up in your area.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
