Happy Mid Week Stampers!
How many of you are being affected by the March storm? It apparently caused quite a bit of trouble in the midwest. As you read this it is barreling down on the DC area. It will be interesting to see how it affect us.
Wednesday is our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop using the Color Coach. This week we had to use
Old Olive and Certainly Celery
I bought a few tutorials from Donna at Butternut Sage and I thought I would try one of them out for this challenge. I chose to use the Molten Glass technique. I was excited to try this and it was turning out great using a leaf shape and the 2 colors. I had set it aside to dry and proceeded to work on another challenge. Some how I set a stamp case on top of the leaves and it totally changed the swirls. I was upset but I am not one to throw things away without trying to salvage them. I let them dry overnight and then pulled out the 2 colors of cardstock. When I laid the window sheets on the cardstock they did not look that bad so I decided to use them What I have on my card is what they ended up looking like.
Since I had 3 leaves I wanted a simple layout so I checked out the Clean and Simple Challenge blog. Their layout was one I could use.
Here is what I created.

I hope you did not think my card was too bad. Now it is time to hop on over to Amanda’s blog – Our Crafty Playdate to see what she did with the colors. Thanks for looking and have a Wonderful Wednesday!
Robbie
I like it a lot. When I looked at the card I said "Wow! How did she do that, I like it." Then I read that it was a mistake. What a great mistake. Love it. And I love Donna'd molten glass technique. I'm playing with that technique too.
These don't look like mistakes at all! They are great! Love the card, and now I need to go buy that tutorial!!! Great Job Robbie – glad you didn't throw anything away!
WOW, Robbie. This is a really cool card. How did you do that? I just love the technique … I have to start learning some new ones. Very cool.
It turned out very nicely…in spite of the incident~ I would try this one myself!
Well done – I hope you'll link up at 52 Card Pickup this week!
