Coloring Down the Lines – Blown Ink

Hello Everyone!

Well yesterday morning I was in a lot of pain when I got up.  I imagine that was because I had not moved all night.  I slowly got moving and the more I moved the better it got.  I tried to move every so often during the day so I would not tense up again.  I did notice if I sat too long I was stiff.  I also had to adjust how I bent down to pick up things.  I have not picked up Remi at all which is a bummer.  I did hold her while Jess took Zoie to school and then went back to pick her up so I got some baby time.

Wednesday’s are our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  This week our colors were chosen by Helen.

I am enjoying the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  It is fun to try some new ideas and revist some old favorites.

So before the coloring challenge began I made a list of different types of coloring I could do.  One of the ideas I listed was blowing through a straw.  I was not sure what paper to use so I went looking for a tutorial.  I found one but the lady used alcohol inks and a window sheet.   Her finished product was beautiful.  I decided to use our colors today and try it out.  I did find that because our inks are water based they did not dry as well.  I used my heat tool several times as well as blotted the pools of ink with paper towels.  When I had most of the ink pools blotted up I decided to see if I could seal it.  I used a matte sealer but it still did not take care of the ink smearing.  Here is my version of Blown Ink.

To make my card, I cut the window sheet down to the size of my card.  I then flipped the window sheet over and attached it to my card with glue so at least the ink would not come off on your hands.  I then stamped it with Staz-on ink and added some punched flowers.  The flowers need something to I add a rhinestone in the middle of each of them.  Here is my Blown Ink creation.

Are you ready to see what the other ladies did?  Head on over to Amanda’s blog – Our Crafty Playdate to continue on the hop!

Tonight I am the guest speaker on our SUDSOL chat.  Several of the ladies have asked about Instagram and I attended a session last year at Convention.  I have been using Instagram for my cards also so I am going to help them set up an account and post their cards.  Wish me luck!

Thanks for visiting me today.  I have another appointment with the chiropractor this morning.  I am hoping I will be less sore tomorrow morning than I was this morning.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
