Coloring Down the Lines – bokeh

Hello Everyone!

Today will be a busy day for me.  I have my workshop tonight so I will be busy setting up for it.  I love doing workshops and seeing the ladies.  I love hearing how their lives are going and what they are working on at this time.  I would love to have your join us!

Today is the Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  I chose the picture for this week.

Stampin’ Up color matches

When I went to make my card, I thought it would be fun to try a technique or fold that I had seen recently on the internet.  I looked at a few of my pin on Pinterest and decided to see if I could do the bokeh effect using these colors.  I chose Smoky Slate and Basic Gray to make my background.  After I had laid down my color I started adding my circles using the Whisper White.  After I had several circles on the card it was missing something.  I decided to see what it would look like if I added some Cherry Cobbler circles.  When I was done I liked the look.  It may not be a true bokeh effect but it worked for me.

I have seen this effect down usually with a large sentiment stamped on the card.  I decided to do something different.  I made a tag and punched some flowers to add along with my small sentiment.  Here is what my final card looked like.

Are you ready to see what the other ladies created using these colors?  Hop on over to Carol’s blog – Carol’s Cards to see what colors she used and what she created.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Have you tried the bokeh technique?  What colors did you use?  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
