Coloring Down the Lines – Crisp Cantaloupe

Hello Ladies!

Well we are back to cold weather.  I saw on the news some places actually got snow.  I know up near DC they were getting some ice.  This is crazy weather for the middle of April.  I will be glad to get back to the warmer weather.

Today is our weekly blog hop.  This week our colors were

Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding

                                     OR
Crisp Cantaloupe, Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede

Our added piece this week was to use vellum and make it an Easter card.
I saw a challenge at Just Us Girls for Creating a Watercolor Background.  I had done a card earlier using this technique and loved it so I decided to do it for this card also.
I chose to use the first set of colors.  I created my background and set it aside to dry.  I then stamped the swirl from Everything Eleanor on vellum using Whisper White craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder.  I then used the extra wide oval to punch out 3 ovals.  I also punched out an oval of each color.  I attached the vellum to the ovals.  I now had my eggs.  I pulled out my fringe scissors and created some grass.  All that was left to do was to put my card together.  Here is what my final creation looked like.

So are you ready to see what the other ladies created using this challenge.  Head on over to Helen’s blog – Blue Dahlia Designs to see what she did with the colors.

Thanks for visiting me today.  We have a very short hop today.  Some of our ladies are still on vacation as well as a few are involved with Passover.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
