Coloring Down the Lines – Framed Bloom

Hello Everyone!

Well yesterday I spent what little time I had working on cutting out Batman masks from black glitter paper with my Silhouette.  I am still working on the settings as it is not cutting all the way through.  Once I get it straight, I will be able to cut out 19 masks by pushing a button.  These will be the cupcake toppers for Zoie’s cupcakes.  Then I have to cut out a bunch of bats so Jess can make a mobile.  Again I will use my silhouette.  Love this machine but there is a learning curve with it as I don’t use it very often!

Today we have our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  We have some more Spring colors for you this week.  Aren’t the colors in this picture gorgeous!

So I saw a great card in my Take Ten magazine that I knew the layout would be perfect.  I started working on it and I have to say, this was not a 10 minute card.  But when it was done it was ok as I loved the look.

I started by stamping my image onto white card stock.  Then I used a piece of Rose Red card stock the same size as my white and measured 1/4″ in on all 4 sides.  I then used my Stampin’ Trimmer to cut out the inside rectangle.  I mounted this onto the white card stock to form a frame around it.  I added a rectangle of Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz to the card base.  Then used dimensionals to add my framed flower.  The opposite corners have a rhinestone added.  To finish off my card I added some bakers twine.  Here is my finished creation.

Next stop on the hop is Joni’s blog – Joni in the Spotlight Stamping.  I am sure she will have a great project for you!

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be cutting out Batman masks, bats, and working on some cards today.  What are your plans?  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
