Coloring Down the Lines – Smiles

Good Morning Stampers!

Well I had 2 classes yesterday. The ladies made our tea box for the last class in session one of Bags & Tags.  We will be starting session two in May.  If you are in the area and interested, please contact me for the details.

Our Coloring Down the Lines Blog hop starts with me.  This week is our last week of the theme “April Showers bring May Flowers”.  When I saw this photo I knew it had to be one or our weeks for the theme.

There were so many colors in this picture that I picked a few to use.  Here are the Stampin’ Up color matches.

When I saw the colors I thought of a rainbow.  I did not want to do a traditional rainbow but wanted the effect.  I decided to use the flower in the Itty Bitty Punch pack.  This set of punches is retiring in May and I don’t know what I am going to do to fill in with little flowers.  Do you have any ideas?  Send them my way so I can be prepared when it is gone.

I began by punching 3 flowers in each color.  I then laid them out on my layer and discovered I did not have enough flowers, so I punched another one in each color.  I then set out all my flowers on my card stock.  When I had them all placed like I wanted them, I added them to the card stock using glue dots.  To finish off each flower I added a rhinestone to the center.  I had all my flowers placed but it needed something, so I added a sentiment in the lower corner.  You can’t help but smile when you see all these fun flowers.  Here is my completed card.

Are you wondering what colors the other ladies used?  Hop on over to Amanda’s blog – Our Crafty Playdate to see which ones she used.  Then I the other ladies would love it if you continued on down the hop to see what they made!

Thanks for visiting me today!  I am hoping to have a play date with a friend but we will see if we are both still free.  If not I will be in my craft room gettin’ inky!  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

  1. What a great idea. Very, very, nice card. Sounds like you are busy with your classes. And what a Wow! picture of all those hand sanitizers. Looks like a lot of work, but super nice. Good job(s).
