Hello everyone – I was inspired by my daughter’s favorite colors for today’s CutCardStock Just Because flowers creation.

I love the colors of cardstock from CutCardStock. To add depth to the colors I sponged on some ink. This is a great way to get a variety of shades on your images.

Today’s Project

To add some interest to the gray linen cardstock I sponged on some gray ink. This was my background layer. I then used a flower die to cut some yellow small flowers that I sponged on some yellow ink. I couldn’t find a leaf that I liked so I found a spiky leaf I decided to use and sponged it with some green ink.

To highlight all the flowers, I die cut a stitched circle to add to the side of the card and layer the flowers on top. I stamped a sentiment and mounted it on a panel of yellow where I sponged the edges.

I have used shades of pink cardstock to make the flowers on this card. This card uses sponging like today’s card to get different shades on my flower and leaves.
