Cute Sledding Penguins

Well I am back home and do I have my work cut out for me! My house is a disaster after the move. Now I have the fun of getting it organized and put together better so I can store things better. I also have 2 empty rooms now and only need to keep 1 as a guest bedroom (with one daughter in Hawaii and the other 7 hours away in New York, I don’t think they will be coming home very oftern). If anyone has any ideas for organizing a room, send them my way as I will be looking for them.

I used another image I had from my sister to create this card. I love these sledding penguins. When I looked at this image I immediately thought of them sledding down a hill. I decided to use an idea I had for my workshop card last month. I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder to emboss a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ sheet of white. I then tore it in half to create the back snow hill. I then used the other half to make the 2 front hills. I used my 2 way glue pen to add glitter to the torn edges. I mounted the 2 front hills on dimensionals to give it some depth. I then mounted the penguins on dimensionals coming down the hills.

To add a little more bling to the picture, I colored the penguins hats with Spica microflake pens. I used a gray marker to color the sled runners and went over it with the Sakura Stardust gelly roll clear pen. This technique makes them look like silver sled runners. I finished it off by adding the black and white polka dot ribbon.

On the inside I used a white piece of paper and cut the edges using the Martha Stewart snowflake border punch. I used the retired set Polar Pals for the penguin and saying. Hope you like this cute card. Here is my creation!

Thanks for looking and have a great Monday!
