Day of Gratitude Christmas

Good Morning Ladies!

Well we got lots of cookies made yesterday.  Since it is just me and my daughter and her husband we only did 1 batch of each kind and then split them.  That will be enough cookies for each of us during the holidays.

I visited some of my favorite challenge blogs and found a color challenge I wanted to do at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

I went looking for a sketch challenge but almost all of the blogs had color challenges this week.   I guess next week they will all have sketch challenges.  That meant I was on my own.

I have been wanting to use my Days of Gratitude stamps with Christmas colors and this was the perfect challenge to use it with.  I began by coloring the large medallion stamp with my markers.  When I stamped it I remembered doing one earlier this year where I used Iridescent Ice over the image so it was sparkly.  I decided to do the same with this one.  The idea came from Frenchie at Stamp & Scrap with Frenchie.  Once your image is stamped you stamp over it with the same image using Versamark and then emboss it with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.

Now I have my medallion and I needed to design my card.  I have a lot of Christmas paper left and wanted to use some of that up before the season is over so I chose a piece of Deck the Halls paper.  I added some ribbon and a bow and mounted it on a card base and I was done.  Here is my creation.

I hope you enjoyed my creation today.  Thanks for looking and have Sensational Sunday!
