Detailed Dragonfly Adds a Pop of Color

Hello Stampers ~ I have a great card with lots of elements in my Detailed Dragonfly Add a Pop of Color creation.

Wish us luck today.  This is our first day in the park.  It will depend on how quickly the girls went to bed last night as to whether they will be cooperative today.  I know Remi will want to see Minnie so hopefully when we get to the park she will be there.  We will also be riding lots of rides.  I am not sure which area in the Magic Kingdom we will go to first.  We have our bracelets and Jess did some Fast Pass sign ups for us ahead of time if she could.  We will spend several hours in the park and may head back to the hotel for an afternoon nap.  Then we will go back to the park so we can see the night parade.  This is the advantage of staying on the site.

Today’s card has lots of elements to make it interesting to look at.  I began by taking a piece of Whisper White card stock and added Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana ink randomly.  The strip of dragonfly thinlits were used to cut out the dragonflies.  I used the Basic Black marker to color the bodies.  To make my card I used a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White and the Stampin’ Trimmer to score the lower right hand corner.  I used the piece of silver measurement on the trimmer as a guide to ensure the scoring was straight.  When I was finished with my scoring, I added this piece to my Whisper White card base using Tear & Tape.  A piece of Whisper White card stock was used along with the Stitched Rectangles to cut out a small shape.  This was added to the card front near the right hand side of the embossed panel centered top to bottom.  I used another scrap of Whisper White and the Leaf punch to punch out 2 leaves.  I added these to embossed panel with glue dots inside the rectangle.  To finish the card the dragonflies were added using dimensionals.  Here is the completed Detailed Dragonfly Adds a Pop of Color.

Aren't these dragonflies so cute? Lots of details on the card front makes it interesting to look at. Click through to see my Detailed Dragonfly Add a Pop of Color.
