Distressed Sketch

Good Monday Morning Everyone!

Wow I can’t believe we are at the end of August.  Where has the year gone?  I have so much to get done before Michaela and Josh come in November.  I really need to hit my stamp room.  I have to finish my design team commitment first.

My card today is for the the challenge at Late Night Stampers.  This week we were to use distressing.  There are a couple of ways you can distress.  You can apply color to the edge of your shape using a dauber or sponge.  You can also use a tool or the edge of your scissors and rough up the edge of the shape.  My favorite way to distress it to apply ink to the edge of your shape.  That is the one I used for this challenge.

Monday is the day for the Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge.  Mary Jo always has a great sketch for us to use and this week is no exception.  Here is her sketch for this week.

I wanted to play some more with my new Fall items.  You only have to wait until the end of the week and you can get your hand on some of these fabulous items.  I love the colors in the new Color Me Autumn ds paper.  I used those colors with the new stamp set For All Things on my card today.  Here is my creation.

I guess I was a little light handed with my distressing as it is hard to see in the photo.  I will have to watch that next time.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I think this week will be busy with design commitments and making my cards for my blog posts.  What will you be doing?  Have a Marvelous Monday!

  1. nice job Robbie. I was thinking the very same thing about summer, thank goodness I babysit Grace near the water I would not have even gotten to the ocean this year!

  2. Wonderfully done–great job combing the challenges as always. I love the colors of fall, although I am a pure summer person other wise. Thanks so much for being a part of the TSSC team!
