Happy Friday Ladies ~ I have a fun Embossed Hello today.
Last night they had the Fall Festival Book Fair at Zoie’s school. We went over and took the girls. They had games set up in the common areas of each of the pods. The girls had a lot of fun and the prizes were perfect – pencils, tatoos, bead necklaces, etc. We were very glad there was no candy! After we did the prizes we took a few pics of the girls with a cut out they had. To finish off the evening we went to the book fair and got some books for the girls. We were only gone about an hour so they got back in time to meet their bedtime! Here are the pics we took.
My card today began with the sketch challenge at Fab Friday
I originally was going to use the Swirly Snowflakes thinlits for the horizontal element at the bottom and one of the other snowflakes in the thinlits for the banner at the top. Then my mind started turning and I thought it would be a good idea to emboss the Winter Wonder embossing folder. I started working and realized I wanted to offset the embossed snowflake so I embossed it close to the left hand side of my panel. When I pulled out the snowflake strip thinlit I realized it was too large so I opted for the swirl from the thinlits which I cut out with Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper. I added them using some Tombow multipurpose liquid glue. I was originally going to use a snowflake for the banner but when I pulled out my thinlits there was a cute little tag in there so I cut it out of Soft Sky card stock and added a Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper snowflake on the top. The Thoughtful Banners set has a cute “Hello” in there so I stamped it with Dapper Denim ink. The linen thread was tied through the hole at the top. To attach the tag to the card panel, I used some Tear & Tape. The panel was ready to be added to the Whisper White card base using Tear & Tape. Here is my completed Embossed Hello card.
