Flip Flops and Beach

Hello Everyone ~ Are you curious about my title Flip Flops and Beach?

I managed to get all my shells stamped and embossed for the Tic Tac order.  Last night while I was watching TV I punched them out.  I need to get more paper to be able to finish the last of the order.  I am hoping that order will be here next week so I can finish them up.  Then I need to get going on the Birthday Invitations.  Good thing it is a holiday this weekend as I will be working on those.

It is our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop today.  Summer is just around the corner so our challenge is all about what Summer means to us.

To me Summer means flip flops and relaxing at the beach!  I went with that idea.  Using a post-it note I tore the edge and used it to sponge on my sand.  Then using the other piece I masked the sand and used the straight edge of the other half to sponge in my water.  I stamped my sun and colored it.  My card layer was finished and I just needed to stamp, color, and cut out the flip flops and the umbrella.  After I had them cut out I added them to the card layer with glue dots.  I tore a piece of Crumb Cake card stock to represent the sand pile around the umbrella pole and added it with a glue dot.  The layer was added to a Marina Mist card base.  Here is my creation.

Are you ready to see what Summer means to the other ladies?  Hop on over to Amanda’s blog – Our Crafty Playdate to her idea of Summer.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  I will be putting the Tic Tac books that I have the pieces completed together today.  Will be a fun day.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday and do Flip Flops and Beach mean Summer to you?

  1. Nice idea, Robbie. I like how you did the sand and water. The inside looks beautiful too.
