Flowers for Every Season Stampin’ Up Retiring Patterned Paper

Hello Everyone ~ are you as sad as I am to see the Flowers for Every Season Stampin’ Up Retiring Patterned Paper go away in a few weeks?

I thought it would be fun to play with some of my retiring patterned paper for today’s card.  This decision was based on the new challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments Paper Crafting Challenges blog.  This challenge is for a sketch.

To make my card I decided the square pattern in the back would be patterned paper.  Once I found the perfect one in the Flowers for Every Season patterned paper pack the rest was easy.

The patterned paper I chose was one with my favorite flower on it.  It make it so easy as my colors came from the ones used on the patterned paper.  The image also determined what image I would use on my card.  Who doesn’t love it when all the decisions are made for you!

To add some interest and texture, I used an embossing folder and a stitched die.  All it needed was my flower which was so easy to create with a punch.

The card was so pretty that I had to have a pretty sentiment to go with it.  All that was left was to put all the pieces together for a finished card idea.  Here are all the details for the Flowers for Every Season Stampin’ Up Retiring Pattern Paper project.
