Frames & Flowers using sketch 7

Hello Everyone – the Frames & Flowers using sketch 7 cards shows how to use some cuts to make 2 cards.

This month Vicky and I are focusing on dsp for our cards. There are so many options and ways to use it. Make sure you check out Vicky’s card to see what she made.

For today’s card I wanted to show you how you can use a layout and with a little tweaking you can make 2 cards. I began with sketch 7 from the annual catalog.

I saw the ribbon across the center of the banner panel and thought I could use that idea and cut the dsp to make 2 cards using the same layout. After cutting the dsp I created a banner at the bottom of each smaller piece. They were then added to a white panel with some ribbon to hide where the 2 pieces join. Here is the first version I created.

The second card uses the other pieces of dsp with the same layout. I used colors that I felt would enhance each of the panels so the card bases are a different color. I kept everything else the same so the 2 cards would look similar. Here is the second card.

dsp – 3 3/4″ x 5″ – 2 pieces
