Global Stampers

Hello Stampers ~ It is that time of the month when our Global Stampers are sharing their work!

Yesterday I helped Jess out with Remi most of the day.  She had a 10 page paper to write as well as a contract that opened up and the proposal had to be written this weekend.  She has been one busy girl!  Add to that the fact that Zoie came home from school with a bad headache which has wiped her out.  She was running a fever also.  She has been in bed all weekend so far.  Now the key will be who will get it next as Jess is leaving for Vegas on Wednesday.  Cross your fingers I do not get it next week as I will have the girls!

This month we all decided to use a Sale-abration item for our cards.  We all chose to use the Tasty Trucks stamp set.  Make sure you come back later this week to see what the other ladies created using this set.

For my card I thought of the Popsicles you can get from the ice cream truck.  I used those colors for my card.  Since I knew I was going to be doing some watercoloring I used watercolor paper.  I stamped the truck and embossed it using black with clear embossing powder.  I then used Watermelon Wonder to add a cloud of watercolor in the upper left hand corner.  I let this dry and then added a cloud of Mint Macaron and another cloud of Peekaboo Peach.  I let the colors dry before adding the next color so the colors would not bleed into each other and get muddy.  After the clouds were dry, I needed to color the truck.  I chose to use my watercolor pencils for the truck.  I colored the truck very lightly using Bermuda Bay pencil and then blending the color out.  The ground was colored using Early Espresso.  The tires were done with Basic Gray.  The awning was colored with Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay.  All areas were blended out to give it a soft color.  After I had my watercoloring completed I used Tear & Tape to attach it to a piece of Mint Macaron card stock.  This was then added to a Whisper White card base.  To finish off my card I stamped a sentiment and mounted it onto Peekaboo Peach.  Here is my finished creation.
