Hello Everyone ~ with a new year we need to get organized and what better way than with a Gorgeous Posies Feminine Birthday Idea.
When a new year begins I always like to get my calendar for the year set up. One of the events I always add are birthdays. That then means I need to get busy and make my birthday cards so I am ready to send them out as the need arises.
The first cards I usually work on are feminine cards. Since I need them I thought you might also need them. I love the Gorgeous Posies stamp set and knew it would make beautiful feminine cards.
One idea for making feminine cards is to use some designer series paper as a background. The Artistry Blooms designer series paper is the perfect paper for a background. Using this designer series paper is a great way to add interest to the back ground of your cards. In this case it also helped to determine the green to use.
Now you are ready for your image layer for the beautiful flowers in the Gorgeous Posies stamp set. Rather than use a plain rectangle, I decided to use one of my die sets. The Stitched So Sweetly dies has a cute scallop rectangle that was perfect for the image layer. The scalloped edge gives your card a feminine touch which highlights the pretty images in the stamp set. If you do not have the die set, you can easily cut a rectangle for your images.
After stamping all the images you are ready to put your card together. All you need to do now is to layer the elements to complete your card. To help you with all the details, here is a video showing how I put my Gorgeous Posies Feminine Birthday Idea together.
