Great Friend

Hello Everyone ~ I know we all have a Great Friend so here is the perfect card for that person.

Well I am feeling a little better today.  I took it easy yesterday and even took a short nap ~ something I never do.  Today I have a lot to do to play catch up since I did not do anything yesterday.  I will get it done just may take me a little longer.

Our next challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments  is an inspiration challenge.

When I looked at the picture, I was drawn to the large sentiment block in the upper left hand corner.  I thought about it and went looking through my stamps to see what I had.  I found the perfect on in Window Shopping.  I began by stamping a Crumb Cake card base with the Hardwood background using Soft Suede ink. Using the embossing buddy I wiped it across the front of the card.  I then stamped up the sentiment using Versamark ink and stamped on the front of the card base.  Then using the Cherry Cobbler embossing powder, I added it to the top and bottom word of the sentiment.  To do this, you hold the card sideways and pour the powder down the card being careful to not get it onto the other part of the sentiment.  Once you have the colored powder added, you then repeat the procedure using the white embossing powder.  Once you have all the powder added you can then heat emboss it making sure the powder melts as they have different melting rates.  Now that I have my sentiment prepared, I stamped my flower image 3 times and used my markers to color them.  They were fussy cut and added to the card front using dimensionals.  I made sure to cross the stems at the bottom.  Using the Whisper White bakers twine I tied a triple bow and added it using glue dots where the stems cross.  My creation was finished.

Make sure you head on over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog to see what inspired the other designers.   I am sure there are some great ideas for you.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I will be finishing up a project and creating some for my blog for the next few days.  Have a Terrific Tuesday and make a card for your Great Friend!
