Hand Stamped Sentiments – Thank You

Hello Ladies!

Well schools are closed here again today.  I guess they still have lots of back roads that are not cleared yet.  I have 2 ladies coming later today for my Bags & Tags club.  I have 2 scheduled for tonight also but not sure if they will venture out since it will be after dark and the roads may not be safe as they will melt during the day and refreeze at night.

Today is our Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.  This time we have a fun sketch.

I just got some new stamps from the Occasions and Sale-abration catalogs.  I decided to use one of the sets on this sketch.  When I looked at the center panel I thought about the clouds embossing folder we use to have the new set Sky is the Limit.  I thought they would be perfect and make a great card.  I embossed the Soft Sky panel and then took the Whisper White craft pad and swiped it it across the raised dots.  This made the clouds pop.  I stamped the plane using Basic Gray.  I then cut it out.  I used some Crystal Effects on the propeller.  When it was dry I attached it to the panel using dimensionals.  To address the flag shapes I stamped the cloud stamp on each side.  I then attached the embosssed panel and added some candy dots.  Here is what my final creation looks like.

Make sure  you head on over to the Hand Stamped Sentiments blog  to check out the other design team ladies projects.  I am sure there are some great ones.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I hope you have some fun plans for today.  I will be teaching a class, maybe 2 and doing some playing in my craft room.  Have a Terrific Tuesday!

You have such a wonderful talent for creating beautiful cards with soft subtle colors. Great idea for using the cloud embossing folder. Thanks for being part of HSS,

  2. Awesome take on the sketch! I love the cloud panel, it makes a great backdrop for the plane!
