Handmade Butterfly Greeting Card

Hello Everyone ~ I am in love with today’s Handmade Butterfly Greeting Card!

Well I did not have to go anywhere yesterday until the dinner at the Pavilion.  I stayed home and played.  I made 2 cards I needed for a swap and I made the 4 cards for next month’s workshop.  Totally forgot to video tape them so will be making another set so I can record it.  Dang!  As for today I do not have any plans for anything so I think I will make a few projects I have in mind as well as a dessert bread I wanted to try.  I had wanted to do that yesterday but ran out of time so I will do it today.  I may have to run down to the house as my light gray siding was delivered as well as my kitchen cabinets.  Not sure I will be able to see anything but I can check on the trim work.

Yesterday Stampin’ Up turned off ordering for the Butterfly duet punch and the Cake Builder punch.  They are expecting another shipment but not until the end of March.  They have been very popular. I hope you got yours ordered if it was something you wanted.  They did say both of these punches will be in the new Annual Catalog that will come out in June.  I don’t know about the stamp set but my guess is they will carry over also.  The Gingham Gala designer series paper is on low inventory so if that is something you want you will want to order it as soon as possible.  Paper does not typically carry over so we will have to wait and see.

If you are one of the lucky ones who managed to get the Butterfly Gala you won’t want to miss my class next month.  This class is based on the Butterfly Gala bundle.   I show you how to make 4 cards using the supplies from the suite.  If you did not get the bundle you can still use the ideas from the class with supplies you already have.  Here is a sneak peek.  Be looking for the announcement on February 1st.

I wanted to play with the Lovely Lipstick foil sheets that are a free Sale-a-bration item.  I have used them a lot more than I thought I would.  I decided to use them with the butterfly thinlits.  I cut the top butterflies out using Basic Black.  I then used the Lovely Lipstick foil sheets for the bottom layer.  I added some Multipurpose Liquid Glue to the back of the black butterflies in key spots and then attached the 2 layers.  Do you see that striped paper behind the white panel.  That is a piece of the beautiful Botanical Butterfly designer series paper from Sale-a-bration.  It is the back side of one the papers.  I did cut out the middle of the paper using my trimmer to save the center for another card.  I layered the frame onto a Basic Black card base.  The Whisper White panel was added next.  Finally the butterfly thinlits were added using more Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Here is my completed Handmade Butterfly Greeting Card.

Stampin’ Up supplies used for my creation

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you.  It is supposed to be sunny today and our temperature will be around 55 degrees.  Great day to go check out the house.  There were 3 deliveries yesterday ~ cabinets, siding, and lights we think.  Hopefully some workers will be there working but not counting on it.  Have a Super Saturday and  will you be trying my Handmade Butterfly Greeting Card?
