Handmade Floral Card
Hello Everyone – I had fun creating the handmade floral card using the Hand Penned Petals bundle.
The Hand Penned bundle has a number of floral images in the set. They are perfect for creating cards with floral images.
I love how easy it is to color the image with the coordinating stamps. All you have to do is ink up the image and stamp it on the part of the flower it coordinates with. I love how you can use different colors to give your flowers the perfect mix of colors.
I started by stamping the image onto a scrap of White using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I used the following colors to fill in the image – Daffodil Delight for the small double flowers, Flirty Flamingo for the large flower, Real Red for the second largest, Calypso Coral for the third largest flower, and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves.
Once I had the image colored I used the coordinating die to cut out the flower image. To add some interest behind the image I used the Ornate Layers to cut out a Real Red panel.
I layered all the pieces on the card front but it still needed something. I pulled out the black and white gingham ribbon and tied it around the top. It adds a great finishing touch.

Here are some other ideas for this stamp set so you can create several cards. This idea uses the die cut of the flower image in a solid color as the main image on the card. If you like creating backgrounds for your images, here is an alcohol marker panel for the background.
