Hello Everyone ~ today I have a one layer Hello card for you!
Well Jess had to put Lily to sleep yesterday. She was miserable and not improving. Her quality of life was not good so she chose to put Lily out of her misery. It was very hard on her and she will struggle with reminders for a while. She also had to tell Zoie. She had prepared her that Lily may die so she took it okay. It is so quiet around the house now. It will be interesting to see how her cats react.
Today I decided to play along with a challenge at Make My Monday challenge.
(must be the focal point)
I saw this challenge and had an idea for my card. When I went looking at my stamp sets I changed my mind about my card and was going to do a shaker card. But then I saw the Blooms & Wishes stamp set and decided to try an entirely different idea. To create my card I began with a piece of white card stock that was 4″ x 5 1/4″. I took a piece of black card stock and attached a thin piece of fun foam to the back. I then used the Hello You thinlits and cut out my sentiment. I turned it over and added small dots of Tombow Multipurpose Liquid glue and set aside to dry. I then measured my white layer to have a section for my sentiment and drew lines so I knew where to stamp. I used a post-it note to mask the lower part of my card and started stamping. I stamped the flowers first then used a post-it note mask for the flowers to stamp my leaf sprays. After I had the top section stamped the way I liked I then moved the mask to the lower line and repeated the procedure for the lower edge of the card front. When my stamping was completed, I took my sentiment and attached it to my card. NOTE ~ By letting the glue dry before adding to your card, it prevents the glue from oozing out all over your card. You can do this with the Tombow glue as it becomes repositionable when dry. Not sure about other glues. I then colored my rhinestones with some Sharpie markers and added to the center of my flowers. It still needed something so I took some gold glimmer paper and added a 1/8″ strip at the top and bottom section of the sentiment area. I was happy with my card. Here is my completed creation.
