How to Use Ribbon on Cards
Hello Everyone – time to start another week and for my blog posts I will be talking about How to Use Ribbon on Cards.
The Gremlins took my card. I do a Facebook Live on Saturday mornings and usually have my sample prepared before hand. I made my card on Friday but when I went to photograph it it was no where to be found. I searched high and low and could not find it. I knew what I was going to do and even cut the paper for the card I was going to make. I thought of one more place to look and yesterday morning when I checked there I found it. I guess the gremlins decided to return it to me. Don’t know how I missed it Friday night.
Did you see my post on the Different Kinds of Ribbon? I was amazed at all the types there are and I think there are some other kinds that were not mentioned. I thought I would take this week and create cards that use ribbon.
Today’s card uses some of the beautiful In Color open weave ribbon. This ribbon falls into the satin and organdy category as the edge is satin and the center is similar to organdy. This is one of my favorite ribbons to use on my cards as it is soft and easy to tie. It is an elegant ribbon and gives a classy look to your cards. For today’s card I used the Pale Papaya Open Weave ribbon.

I chose to use the Simply Elegant patterned paper for my card. I love the pattern with the copper flowers and was surprised to see how well it coordinates with copper foil – how many of you have some of that still in your stash? The paper also set my colors of Basic Black and Very Vanilla. I love how this card is so elegant. Here is my first idea for How to Use Ribbon on Cards.

Here is another idea using the same Pale Papaya ribbon on a card. On this card I tied the ribbon around the tag for this look.
