Just Us Girls – Tuesday

Hello Everyone!

I hope you had a good day yesterday!  It snowed most of the day but the roads are pretty clear so it did not stop people from getting out.  I did not get to play like I wanted.  I was tired as I had to take my sister to the emergency room in the middle of the snow storm.  We did not get home until after midnight.  She has a stomach bug that she cannot shake.  Hopefully she will be better soon.

My card today started with my playing with some new toys.  I got a stencil and some stencil paste from Dreamweavers.  I want to give it a try.  I sponged on my color then added the stencil paste.  After I had the paste on the card I sprinkled it with Dazzling Diamonds.  Then I let it dry.  After that I had to make my card.

I went looking for some inspiration and found a great color challenge at Just Us Girls.    

I thought the Petal Parade stamp set would be a great combo for the ferns.  I stamped and punched my flowers.  After I added them to my card I used my candy dots for the center.  Here is what I created.

Do you see that double bow?  My friend Cathy Parlitsis has a great video for how to tie it.  It is so easy and you do not need any special supplies.  I have never really cared for the seam binding as it separated on me with the way I tied it.  I do not have to worry about that now so I have ordered some.
