Good Morning Stampers – have you noticed the beautiful Leaves lately?
Well today we are all headed home. It has been fun walking the beach and catching up with old friends.
Today’s card is the first card for my week at Card a Day Challenges.
Clean & Simple Sunday:
Leaves, trees or silhouettes
I
love creating multicolored leaves at this time of year! My card base is a piece of Naturals card stock that was cut 5
½” x 8 ½” and then scored on the long side at 4 ¼”. I took a piece of Early Espresso card stock that was 4” x 5
¼”. I used the sentiment from
Thoughtful Branches stamp set and stamped it with Versamark and embossed it
with the Copper embossing powder in the lower right hand corner. I then took a piece of 5/8” burlap
ribbon and attached it on the left hand side using Tear & Tape on the back
of the card stock. To do this,
apply your Tear & Tape to the back of your card stock. Remove the backing and place your
ribbon where you want it and wrap the end to the back catching the tape. Repeat with the other end. Apply more Tear & Tape to the back
of your card stock, remove the backing and attach to the card base front. Take a scrap of Whisper White card
stock and sponge on Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, and Crushed Curry ink randomly
to the paper using sponge daubers.
Make sure you overlap the colors and do not have any white space. Use the leaf from the Thoughtful
Branches stamp set and stamp using Versamark ink and emboss with the Copper
embossing powder. Use the
corresponding framelits to cut out the leaves. Attach the leaves randomly down the left hand side of the
card using glue dots. You now have
a colorful Fall Thank You card.
