Good Labor Day Morning Stampers!
Well I hope you are enjoying your Labor Day weekend! The weather has been great here. It was a little warm yesterday but there was a breeze. We desperately need rain but I don’t think we are going to get any anytime soon. Our trees are already dropping leaves and the grass is crunchy. I would love to see 3 days of a nice gentle rain.
My card today is for the Mary Jo’s Monday Lunchtime sketch challenge
When I saw this sketch I was not sure what to do. I thought of using the small rectangle element and stamping a sentiment on it. When I went looking for a stamp to use the one I found was not vertical but horizontal. I really wanted to use the one from Seasonally Scattered so I decided to rotate the sketch.
Once I rotated the sketch, I could then use the stamp I wanted to use. I pulled out my Color Me Autumn ds paper as well as the burlap ribbon. I received a swap at the NoVa Regional that had this image sponged and I liked the look. I decided to do the same for my image. After that it was just a matter of putting the card together. Here is my interpretation of Mary Jo’s rotated sketch.

Head on over to Mary Jo’s blog to see what the other design team members created. Then grab your supplies and play along with us.
Thanks for visiting me today. I hope you will take some time to play today. Have a Marvelous Labor Day Monday!

This set looks great with the two colors and sponging. Awesome idea. The burlap ribbon is a great touch too, super fall card. Thanks so much for always having such great samples for my sketch challenges!
