Masculine Greeting Card

Masculine Greeting Card

Hello Everyone – Monday means a masculine greeting card to share with you.

Doesn't this make you want to head to the beach? I played with this idea for a Masculine Greeting card. Get the details by clicking through.

Can you feel the cool ocean breeze as you look at this card? I love going to the beach and walking the shore looking for shells. I just love the shells in the Friends are Like Seashells stamp set. They can be masculine or feminine.

On this card I decided to create a seashore scene. I used Pool Party card stock and using my Craft White ink pad and a sponge dauber I added some waves using a sweeping motion. Then to add some depth I used my sponge dauber and Bermuda Bay ink and added some sponging next to the white waves. I love the effect and think it looks pretty good don’t you?

Measurements

Card Base: Bermuda Bay 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ and folded in half
Water Panel: Pool Party 4″ x 5 1/4″
Sand Layer: Sahara Sand 3″ x 5 1/4″
White: scraps for stamping and die cutting

I did a lot of practicing with the waves before I used a good piece of card stock. I suggest you do the same until you find the technique that gives you the look you want. To create the shoreline I used my card stock and tore it towards me. Then I used a sponge dauber and the ink pad to ink the torn edge. To add some extra sparkle to the water I used the Wink of Stella and colored over the waves. I also decorated the inside of the card and envelope.
